KOTA KINABALU - The Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry and Sarawak Tourism Ministry will appeal to the federal government for bigger allocations to promote tourism in the two states.

KOTA KINABALU: Kota Kinabalu City Hall is inviting schooling youths in the city to participate in the City Youth Awards 2008.
The awards are a special recognition by the Mayor to exemplary youths who are respected and valued by their positive contributions and inspiring characters. This competition is opened to all Malaysian citizens, aged 12 to 18 years. The objectives of this award are to appreciate, to recognise and to reward the special success achieved by individual youth or group of youths.
KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah state government welcomes the special incentives granted by the federal government for farmers of hill rice in Sabah and Saawak.
The Sabah Development Corridor is special because it involves the whole State compared to other regional corridor development in the country that only focuses on one specific area.
According to the Institute for Development Studies (IDS) Sabah Executive Director Datuk Dr. Yaakob Johari, the SDC involved three key principles namely focusing on a balanced economic growth, economic development via environmental conservation and capturing higher value added economic activities.
